Social Media Intern

Can you tell a compelling story in text, image, and video formats that captures the audience's attention? Are you creative? Funny? All of the above?! Lorla Studio is looking for a creative and eager intern to help us enhance our brand presence online, while giving the right candidate the ability to build his/her real life marketing skills.

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to join our team. The goal of this role is to help further develop your creative multi-media and social media skills in a professional work environment. This is a part-time (10-15 hours a week) hybrid role. We need someone who is local to the greater DC area, as part of the job will be attending site visits and project installations to record content. The duties and responsibilities of a Social Media Intern include:

  • 10-15 hours a week hybrid role; Must be local to the DC area to attend site visits, project installations and the office to capture content.

  • Create social posts, stories and reels featuring our studio, behind-the-scenes, clients, project development and staff

  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content

  • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement

  • Come up with creative ideas to use our social channels to expand interest and traffic to our blog

  • Write social media captions that reflect our brand, and speak to our studio's target audience

  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote our brand on various social media channels (IG, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook)

  • Spend time engaging with other accounts on instagram, as well as respond to comments and DMs

  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

  • Perform social media marketing research

  • Assist with photo/video content shoots

  • Ensure brand message is consistent

 

Qualifications

  • Creative

  • Hardworking

  • Driven and eager to learn

  • Thinking outside the box

  • Having your own transportation is a plus, but not required

  • Knowledge of social media channels

  • Experience in creating content and posts
