Laura founded Lorla Studio in 2016, blending her social science background with expertise in the built environment to deliver holistic design solutions. With a human-centered and analytical approach grounded in research, collaboration, and historical context, the studio has completed diverse projects, including high-end residences, retail spaces, offices, and cafes.

A former athlete and avid traveler who's visited 30+ countries and lived abroad for five years, Laura brings a global perspective to her work. She loves immersing herself in travel, culture, and art—passions she now shares with her husband and two daughters in their home outside Washington, DC.

Laura earned a Master of Science in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Richmond. Before founding Lorla Studio, she specialized in offices, restaurants, and hotels at renowned firms like Gensler and JFD Studio.
